Биография

‘Zimbabwe’ was a female punk-rock band from Vilnius, Lithuania (end of 2002-2009). During the 6 years of existence, it encompassed quite a bunch of musicians. While Juliana Lozovska (voice), Eliza Lozovska (guitar, voice) and Eglė Bagdonaitė (drums) always stayed the permanent members, the bass position used to fluctuate. It was shared by Raminta Jonušaitė, Krilas Krilavičius, Natalia Judzińska and Aleksėjus Puchalskis. „Zimbabwe“ performed over 100 shows, visited plenty of Lithuanian towns and villages, as well as hit the roads of Poland, Latvia, Belarussia, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Sweden. In the meantime, the band members were also eager Human Rights activists, organizers of ‚Ladyfest Vilnius‘ (2007, 2008, 2009), founders of the ngo ‚New Generation of Women Initiatives‘. ‚Zimbabwe‘ released one album (‚Social Dump‘, 2005) and recorded the second one (‚Gilyn‘, 2008). Finally, in 2012, after 3 years of silence, scattered members of the ex-band decided to release themselves and the dusty unpublished recordings, that they can officially claim the terminus of that wonderful punky journey together!
