Forever - ”… a limitless amount of time for a limitless time…” Forever is an Australian based rock band formed in late 2010, in Melbourne Australia. It consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Oresti Salter, former drummer of Melbourne metal band ‘Empire’, drummer Mike Joey, formerly of ‘Ten Thousand’ and bassist Leigh Banham. Both Salter and Joey had made the decision to leave their previous bands, which were starting to gain success on the local circuit. They felt it was the right time to move forward with ‘Forever’, rather than keeping it as a side project. Salter came up with the name as he came to the realization he would be playing music for the rest of his life. Between having hard edge hook driven music on their side and a strong synergy in the writing process, they wanted to create hard-hitting rock and use it to channel their emotional energy and express their distaste for the current state of the Australian commercial music scene. Releasing their first single ‘Something for nothing, like Diamonds for No-one’ in August 2012, the band plan to have their first film clip of the single released in November.
