Биография

Ypsilanti, MI - 1997-2001 Nikki Margosian - bass, voice James Marks - guitar Fred Thomas - drums, voice Michael Troutman - guitar, voice Lovesick give us wonderful, fast, emotional songs. Right as the needle hits the record, the band provides quirky anthems for our lives. The songs have tons of energy with incredible drum breakdowns, guitar layerings of beautiful melodic picking, and bass that picks up the bottom of the tunes, keeping them together when one thinks they could fall apart. The vocals are captivating in its melancholy warbling in and out of tune, creating a lamenting feeling. The record has eight songs of great complex construction, giving many parts in such a short period of time. The parts range in emotion from tight light math to pop, which breaks up the emotion of the fast parts, to driven wide sounds. The mix of the record is perfectly blended, at times sounding like new wave with jangly guitars, straight driven bass, and the sound and nervousness of the drumming. Lovesick stirs a pot of chaos that churns out structured pieces and melodies, giving this release a solid distinction.
