Биография

In February 2002 the band-project "Freizeichen" was founded by the three musicians Marek Vejyoda (synthesizers, programmings), Maik Straatmann (beats, synths, programmings) and Oliver Woidt (vocals). Having only been planned as a party-project, new songs and styles were developed fast by the band. From that time musical elements have been used and mixed carelessly. The sound of Freizeichen is open-minded for many new facilities of electronical music. From the beginning of the Neue Deutsche Welle and the trashy roots of Punk their sound changes also into modern Club-Sound. The lyrics vary from the simple Clubslogan to lyrical methaphors being used. The music itself follows classical songstructures containing stanza, bridge and refrain. On stage nearly everything is performed live by the band, so Freizeichen follows the concept of classical rock bands with a front-singer. Original analog synthesizers of the 80's and sequencers are taken to perform the sound. The result of the music seems to be fancifully fresh and weird and, on the one hand, surprises the visitors of clubs as it, on the other hand, makes them dance at the same time. In 2004 the "Freizeichen" 5-track "Eckstein"-Ep was released. The band "Oomph" got a Golden and a Platin record for their work on "Freizeichen"'s song "Eckstein". In 2006 the band produced their first Album "Besetzt" that was released on their own label City Musik in May 2007. Ссылка на эту страницу. .
